Summerslam 2016 Fallout Plus WWE Raw and Smackdown Live Spoilers!
At WWE Summerslam 2016, Finn Balor, aka the Demon King, bested Seth Rollins to become WWE Raw’s First WWE Universal Champion.
There were rumors prior to Summerslam that the new WWE Universal “Heavyweight” Championship belt would look like this:

It is interesting that despite Smackdown Live being the Blue “B” show, it’s WWE World Championship belt, minus the word heavyweight despite that word being on the belt gets top billing over Raw’s Red “A” show belt.
It may have something to do with the WWE World Championship belt dating back to 1963 while the WWE Universal Championship belt came into being in 2016.
At Summerslam 2016, Smacdown Live’s Dean Ambrose defeated Dolph Ziggler to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship strap.
The same source that predicted a red belt that looks like the old WWE World Championship belt also predicted that the Smackdown Live top belt would look like this:
However, with the way the new WWE Universal Championship belt looks, its likely Smackdown Live’s WWE World Championship belt will remain like this:
Why? Well, the WWE Universal Championship belt is an inverted version of the WWE World Championship belt. Where one belt has black the other has red. As such, it doesn’t appear that the Smackdown Live top strap will go blue, but we may well find out more this week on both WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown Live!
