Looks like “Crossface” – named after the wrestler’s in-ring finishing maneuver – the biopic of the life and death of Chris Benoit and his family has a new director. Marvel Comics’ Punisher: War Journal Director Lexi Alexander is returning to film for this project. The solid script is what enticed her back to the silver screen.

While Chris Benoit accomplished much in the squared circle it doesn’t matter in the end. While he was suffering from concussion related brain damage, undiagnosed at the time, he murdered his wife Nancy and son Daniel in 2007 and then committed his suicide.
R.I.P. Benoit family.
Will this new director news get this project any more traction? We’ll soon see.
