Here is the current WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown Live championship belts. It is a complete picture until WWE Raw’s Cruiserweight Championship belt is revealed.
Will this Wednesday’s winner of the Cruiserweight Classic Finals get a WWE Cruiserweight Championship belt in addition to the CWC trophy and medal?
The semi-finals for the Global CWC series this Wednesday are between:
- Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Gran Metalik
- Kota Ibushi vs. T.J. Perkins
With the winners doing battle in the CWC Finals!
Will the Raw championship belt continue the CWC brand and renamed after the tournament?
Some have speculated that the new WWE Raw Cruiserweight championship belt will look something like this…
…a bit of a Raw red hybrid of the retired classic WWE Cruiserweight Championship belt (1991-2007)…
…and the retired classic WWE Light Heavyweight championship belt (1997-2001).
I imagine it’ll have a red strap, OR purple in honor of CWC…
…but anything after that I have no guess on how the new WWE Cruiserweight Championship will be designed or what it will be formally called. Well, we’ll soon know as CWC wraps up this week and Raw’s Cruiserweight division debuts this month!
Should be a fun September for fans of Cruiserweight wrestling.
