Marvel Comics Uncanny Avengers #14 spoilers & review follow.
I don’t read this nook regularly, but was intrigued the cover with Cable vs. Captain America, which seems to be major movement in delivering an actual “civil war” for Marvel during its delayed Civil War II event series, and…
…the teaser pages Marvel released that showed the book opening with the fineral for Bruce Banner / The Hulk after being presumably by Hawkeye in the pages of Civil War II.
After a team fight, Captain Amercia, who is a Hydra agent due to the Red Skull changing reality and the past with, essentially, an Infinity stone, disbands the Uncanny Avengers who were a “Unity Squad” for Avengers and X-Men springing from AvX, the Avengers vs. X-Men 2012 event.
Captain America walks away not before one last “exchange” with Deadpool.
The book ends with Brother Voodoo, formerly “a” Doctor Strange / Sorceroe Supreme as I understand, being confronted by his once dead now alive brother…
…who is working with the Hand and is effectively a villain. The Hand has a plan for an undead army including…
…an Incredible Hulk!
And, we get the next issue tease.
With this “Unity Squad” disbanded, will be see an X-Men / Inhumans Unity Squad type book after Inhumans vs. X-Men (IvX) and…
…Resurrexion…
…the way Uncanny X-Men sprang from Avengers vs. X-Men (AvX)?
So…
As I’m not a regular reader, I found this book pretty accessible. The story actually had a civil war amongst the heroes which was welcome since the main Civil War II mini-series has only delivered or teased such a thing in the last page of its last issue. Art was not my favorite for this book, but story was compelling.
