Black Hammer Giant-Sized Annual #1 – I love Lemire and Ormston’s Black Hammer, and am excited to see Lemire’s other frequent collaborators (Lennox, Nguyen, Kindt, and others) play around with these characters.

Black Road #6 – Brian Wood’s return to the Norse culture has been pretty interesting so far, so I’m happy to see this book return from hiatus.

Justice League of America: The Ray Rebirth #1 – My LCS was sold out of the Vixen one-shot this week, but I’m hoping I’ll be able to get a copy of this. I’m a big fan of Priest’s Ray series, and loved the Joe Quesada design of his costume back in the day, so I’m curious to see how he’s going to be used in the current DCU (the New 52 miniseries was better than expected, but I imagine will be retconned away).

Mayday #3
– This Soviet-era spycraft/adventure title has been one surprise after another. Alex DeCampi is one of the most underrated writers in comics.

They’re Not Like Us #13
– I was a big supporter of Eric Stephenson and Simon Gane’s modern take on the X-Men, but this book has been on hiatus for a good long time now. I’m glad to see it back, but hope that it’s a little more on-schedule. Gane’s art is great.

Phil Allen

Batman #15 – Rooftops, pt 2. Tom King’s run on Batman has been hit or miss for me so far, but #14 was by far my favorite issue yet. It’s been awhile since we’ve had a simple Batman/Catwoman “chase” around the city.

Justice League of America: The Ray #1 – I haven’t read the “Vixen” issue yet, but “The Atom” was very good. I’m not very familiar with “The Ray” but I’ll be in on this one.

Lucifer #14 – New arc, new writer!

Mayday #3 – Russian spies, hippies, and good music. This comic has everything I need.

Star Wars: Doctor Aphra #3 – Another great Star Wars series that picks up with Aphra right where Darth Vader left off.

Superman #15 – Multiplicity pt 2! Last issue was a great intro/set-up for what promises to be a great arc. And as I’ve said before, I’m always up for more Red Son Supes!

They’re Not Like Us #13 – I’m glad this series is finally back, the last issue was almost 10 months ago!

Other issues I’m looking forward to:

Archie #16
Betty & Veronica #3
Cage #4
Deadpool the Duck #2
Descender #18
Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency: The Salmon of Doubt #4
Injustice: Ground Zero #4
Kill or be Killed #5
Motor Girl #3
Star-Lord #2
Trinity #5
