News, Spoilers, Top Story

DC Comics Rebirth Spoilers for Superman’s Action Comics #973 follow.

Since the kick off of DC Comics Rebirth, Action Comics has included a mysterious man believing himself to be Clark Kent. He has assumed the role of Clark Kent at the Daily Planet and even works alongside the “real”

Action Comics #973 had some revealing clues about who this Clark Kent might be.

First, his lexicon seems dated, old.

Second, his diet is very much that of a teenager.

Third, he lives at the real Superman’s old apartment building prior to marrying Lois Lane.

Fourth, which is the most mysterious reveal so far from above, not everyone can see him. Hmmm.

Fifth, below, he has feelings for Lois Lane like probably all the Clark Kents in the multiverse.

So, Lois Lane does what every good journalist does, she decides to go on a date with him to learn more… despite her being married to DC Rebirth’s real Superman / Clark Kent.

So, there has been a character missing in DC Rebirth. Could this Clark Kent be Kon-el, the former Superboy. He is a clone of Superman and Lex Luthor after all?

Or could it be the shape-shifting Matrix who believed itself to be Superman in the pre-Flashpoint continuity.

Interestingly, Action Comics #973 ended with an interesting cliffhanger.

The debut of Hank Henshaw in DC Rebirth. Prior to the New 52, Hank Henshaw was the Cyborg Superman. A character that debuted alongside the Kon-el Superboy during the classic 1990s Death of Superman arc.

However, in the New 52 and DC Rebirth, Cyborg Superman is Supergirl’s father Zor-el.

So, how will Hank Henshaw be in DC Rebirth?
