DC Comics Rebirth Spoilers: Hal Jordan And The Green Lantern Corps #18 New Status Quo w/ A Time Master? Booster Gold & Legion Of Super-Heroes Next?

Spoilers, Top Story

DC Comics Rebirth Spoilers and Hal Jordan And The Green Lantern Corps #18 follows.

I had my eye on this arc from when it was first solicited; Prism of Time pits the the Green Lantern Corps and Sinestro Corps with a villain from the future it seems.

However, before we get to that, Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #18 opens with the growing pains of the Greens and Yellows co-existing on sentient Green Lantern planet Mogo.

Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner don’t understand why John Stewart, no head of the GLC, wants them all to co-exist, while…

…he explains the Sinestro Corps are not evil as the rings of the emotional spectrum are like guns. Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.

The Green Lantern Corps are Republicans now?

There is some in-fighting between the two Corps, but their two bruisers tell them to settle down and work together; they fought it out and gained each others respect and buried the hatchet for both Corps. Guy Gardner speaks to the Green Lantern Corps and Arkillo speaks to the Sinestro Corps no being led by Sinestro’s daughter, and former Green Lantern turned Yellow Lantern, Soranik Natu.

Elsewhere in the universe, Saintwalker is the sole Blue Lantern as Kyle Rayner no longer weilds all the rings of the emotional spectrum as the White Lantern, but…

…a threat looms that has been teased in earlier issues that Guardians Ganthet and Sayd can’t see, but feel.

Finally, in the last pages of the issue we get the beginning of Prism of Time arc. A stranger jumps from the future into the past. It’s Time Master Rip Hunter who indicates that the GLC has been wiped from the future before…

…collapsing while wearing a Green Lantern ring from the future?!

Could Rip Hunter’s son, Booster Gold, make an appearance in this time-trippy arc?

Plus, it’s the future we’re dealing with, seems also likely we’ll have some direct or indirect Legion of Super-Heroes Rebirth references / appearances?

I’m excited for this arc!
