Murtz On The Scene: Exclusive Finale Interview With Big Brother Canada 5‘s Demetres Giannitsos

Features, Interviews, Top Story, Video

The day after the Big Brother Canada 5 finale, I had the chance to catch up with Demetres Giannitsos to discuss what happened. I asked him if he thought he would have won the game if he had won the final part of the HOH competition. We talked about whether his failure in that competition was because of Kevin’s studying or because of his choking under pressure. I asked Demetres about setting the record for the most HOH competition wins and whether he would stick with the same strategy if he got to play again. I also asked him about how he initially connected with both Cassandra and Ika as they helped swing the votes for him to stay in the first week. I asked him how his own game would have changed if Cassandra had stayed longer. We also reminisced about the first week where Karen put him on the block and how he managed to stay over Mark and how things might have played out if he had been the one evicted. I asked Demetres if Karen putting him up in the first week was one of the reasons why he didn’t vote for her to win. The Greek also opened up about his relationship with Ika and when it turned into something that was more than just an alliance. I asked him who was more responsible for their success in the game, him for winning competitions or Ika for effectively convincing other players to do what was in their best interest. I asked him if he was shocked about Kevin using the veto to save Ika and how that affected the rest of the game.
