Spoilers, Top Story

Marvel Comics and Secret Empire #4 Spoilers and Review follows.

This summary and dramatis personae gets you caught before delving into the issue.

With Secret Empire #4 we learn who the almost 10 heroes and anti-heroes, including Avengers, have sided with Captain America and Hydra. They are as follows. Let me know if I missed anyone.

1. Punisher.

2. Scarlet Witch

3. Hank Pym…

…or Ultron?

4, 5 & 6. Ant-Man Black Ant, Taskmaster and Vision.

7. Thor Odinson

8 & 9. Namor and a…

…yet-to-be-revealed mole for Captain America and Hydra on the Avengers resistance?

Who is the mole?

Let’s also not forget…

10. Deadpool.

Despite him not being around in this issue in a prominent way, her appears to be “following Steve Rogers’ orders“…

…for now. That is a nice cover for June’s Deadpool #32 though.

Anyhow, back to Secret Empire #4, I think we have a clue about who that other, seemingly more righteous, Steve Rogers / Captain America is.

He’s joined in battle by Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier and Sam Wilson / Falcon / Captain America.

Yet these characters are also part of the main Secret Empire arc just not prominent in this issue.

Could these scenes be in the mind of Captain America, leader of Hydra, as his true personality tries to battle with how Kobik the sentient Cosmic Cube changed history and made Steve Rogers a Hydra agent retroactively?

So…

A fast-paced issue with solid art. Still not liking the fact Captain America is evil nor that so many heroes have joined him. An interesting issue nonetheless. 7 out of 10.
