Spoilers, Top Story

DC Comics Rebirth Spoilers and Review for Green Lanterns #27 follows.

The book opens with Jessica Cruz seemingly on a strange planet fighting…

…giant insects with her ring…

…while Simon Baz is ringless and fleeing from bird-man creatures.

We now get into the meat of the issue, that DC didn’t tease for free, and we see Jessica save Simon as they wonder where and when they are.

Green Lanterns #27 also reveals the 6th of the first 7 Green Lanterns. It is a techno-organic being from the planet Grenda named…

…Brill.

With that, to recap, with the first 4 Green Lanterns, the first 6 to have been revealed are:

We now pivot back to Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz where they discover the life entity still as a fetus which has the Green Lanterns discover that…

Overall another amazing yarn written by Scott Humphries with solid art by Ronan Cliquet. Highly recommended. Curious whether we’ll see old Volthoom in this arc and/or a future Volthoom that travels to the past. This is by far DC Comics’ best Green Lantern book on stands and definitely 1 of its top 3 super-hero books. I’m enjoying the reveal of the scret history of DC Rebirth and the Green Lantern Corps. 9 out of 10.
