San Diego Comic Con 2017 / SDCC 2017 and DC Rebirth Spoilers follow for Batman & Catwoman After Marriage Proposal & The War Of Joke and Riddles!
Batman writer Tom King spoke at DC Comics’ San Diego Comic Con 2017 (SDCC 2017) press breakfast. Here are some highlights of his presentation.
- His Batman/Catwoman arc is only the “halfway point of a novel” from his “100 issue story arc” for Batman where his trying to do something fresh and new with the Batman universe characters.
- Batman (Bruce Wayne) proposal to Catwoman (Seline Kyle) in Batman #24 “may be a true, honest thing,” or a coping mechanism for “covering up the pain with a new layer of insanity.”
- Batman #32 will feature Catwoman’s answer to Batman’s proposal.
- A few of Bruce Wayne’s ex-girfriends will pop during the marriage proposal storyline.
- Batman #33 starts a new arc outside of Gotham City that “you’ve never seen with Batman” called “Dream A Dream of Me“; it’ll involve a quest in the desert where Batman’s Robins will play a large role; readers will see “both sides of what make Batman the ultimate American archetype.”
