WWE Hall of Famer and Industry Legend Bobby “The Brain” Heenan Passes Away at 73

News, Top Story

Since no one else seems to have shaken off the shock enough to post this, I’ll be the one to grit my teeth through the tears and let you know one of the true all time greats and funniest men to ever exist, Bobby Heenan, has died Sunday afternoon. He’d been struggling with throat cancer, then tongue cancer and various surgeries on his mouth for well over a decade and finally lost his battle yesterday. Several wrestling and even mainstream news sites have covered his passing, and wrestling personalities and celebrities have been memorializing him on social media.

Born Raymond Louis Heenan, he logged over 4 decades in the business, mostly as a heel manager and colour commentator, and elevated many wrestlers and indeed the business itself. Few could sell matches like Heenan could, and fewer still could draw heel heat so beautifully.

He is survived by his wife Cindy, daughter Jessica, and two grandchildren.

She lives with her pets and passes her free time writing, drawing, doing paid photoshop work (including logos done for Pulse's Own Mike Gojira), and is a part-time Queer model.
