Fan Expo 2017: Superman, Batman, Anarky, Thorian, Star Trek Discovery & More Featured In The Haul

News, Top Story

I’m just wrapping up my 2017 comic con season so thought I’d share some of my hauls.

Here are my 24 pick ups from Fan Expo this past summer.

1) Action Comics #370 (1968) with…

…a different kind of Superman Family.

2) Action Comics #410 (1972) with Superman’s satanic son?

3) Action Comics #537 (1982) and…

4) Action Comics #538 (1982) with the first add second appearances respectively of Jackhammer brother of…

…same named villain in the Demolition Team.

4 – 12) Anarky #1-8 because…

…I like the character from when he was first introduced in Detective Comics.

13 – 18) Legends 1 – 6 because I wanted this again. I got rid of them when I got the tpb, but still wanted the originals.

19) Superman #218 (1969) with another son for Superman?

20) Thorion of the New Asgods #1 (1997) because I like the New Gods.

21) World’s Finest #168 (1967) with Superman, Batman and Robin vs. the alter egos on the cover.

22)
Graphic Ink: The DC Comics Art of Darwyn Cooke HC because its got Darwyn Cooke art.

23) Silver Age Showcase: Suicide Squad HC because I have the original Silver Age issues, but they’re not crisp. The HC gets me crisp pages.

24) Star Trek: The Final Reflection (1984) paperback novel because Star Trek Discovery’s handling of Klingons is derived from the portrayal in this book.

What did you pick up at cons this past year?
