Tom Cruise’s Daring Helicopter Stunt In Mission: Impossible – Fallout Featurette

Media, Video

As I’ve stated in the past, Tom Cruise is the American equivalent to Jackie Chan. If he’s not running, he’s climbing. If he’s not climbing, he’s driving. We know he’s a maverick in the cockpit, but how about in a helicopter?

Wanting to prove he can fly with the best of them, in this short behind-the-scenes featurette see how Tom Cruise learned how to pilot a helicopter to pull off one hell of a stunt. Playing pilot and cameraman, Cruise was intent to do the flying stunts with little green screen work as possible.

The best intentions often come back to haunt you. MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong. Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast with filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie returning to the helm.

M:I – Fallout opens in theaters July 27, 2018.
