The Greatest Showman Blu-ray Announced

Disc Announcements, News

If you were to tell me that the musical The Greatest Showman would open around Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Dwayne Johnson’s Jumanji and end up being a sleeper hit, I’d think you were nuts. But that’s what happened. 20th Century Fox’s period musical about P.T. Barnum, though about 85-percent phooey in terms of historical accuracy, became a smash for the studio, making $160 million domestic and $360 million worldwide.

Starring Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams, Zac Efron, and Zendaya, The Greatest Showman also netted an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song (“This Is Me”) from Academy Award winning team Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (of La La Land fame). Now the musical is about to have a big encore as it will make its digital platform debut on March 20th with 4K UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD releases to drop in stores on April 10th.

At this time supplemental features are set to include “two hours of behind-the-scenes footage,” a “sing-along edition,” and “music jukebox feature.”
