DC Comics Universe and Action Comics Special #1 Spoilers follows.

DC Really Is Framing Classic Lex Luthor As President Donald Trump and Classic Clark Kent As Former President Barack Obama?

In addition to the opening story concerning a modern day Lex Luthor (full spoilers here), and the third story focussing on Lois Lane in a touching tale (full spoilers here), the second story in Action Comics Special #1 reveals what the…

…impotence was for Lex Luthor to run and win the United States Presidency years ago (2001 storyline).

It seems he was roasted by Clark Kent and the audience laughed at him.

This is similar to the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Dinner…

…where then President Obama…

…in his monologue included…

…a searing roast of Birther lead, and then Apprentice star, Donald Trump. It has been reported in many publications that this was the event that steeled Trump’s resolve to run for the presidency and have Obama be humbled in having to transition to him.

And, there you have it, the parallels in this Superman story are deliberate.
