Kaela Grant played a masterful game of Big Brother this season. Best known for her showmance with Derek and her ability to win almost any competition when her game was on the line, the Saint John native was a force to be reckoned with this year. In the end and despite making it all the way to the end of the game, Kaela simply did not have the support of the jury losing to Paras by an overwhelming vote of 6-1.
I caught up with Kaela immediately after the Big Brother Canada 6 finale on May 10 2018. We discussed a variety of subjects and I asked her why the jury didn’t seem to appreciate her gameplay. I asked Kaela if she really would have cut Derek at the end had she won the final HOH competition. Kaela opened up about her feelings on Paras and I asked her if she felt like not mentioning the fact that she was the first to nominate Paras to the jury was a mistake. I asked her about the week that she was nominated against Ali and why the house decided to keep her instead of using the opportunity to eliminate half of the Daela showmance. I asked Kaela what she thought her biggest move of the game was and where her relationship with Derek will go now that the game is over.
