On Monday night’s performance finale, finalists Kyla Jade, Spensha Baker, Britton Buchanan and Brynn Cartelli squared off for the final time before a winner is crowned. The contestants were each asked to sing a solo cover, an original song and a duet with their respective coach.
I caught up with Spensha on the red carpet immediately after the show to get her take on her final competitive performances of the season. I asked her to create her reaction when she Carson announced her as a finalist and why she seemed so surprised by the news. I asked her about Blake saying that her style will add a new element to the country music genre and why he feels so strongly about what she can bring to the music industry. I asked Spensha to elaborate on why she chose Blake as her mentor. Finally, I asked her about what it was like to compete against a fellow Team Blake member in Kyla Jade.
