Marvel Comics Universe and Amazing Spider-Man #800 Spoilers follow.

Who Lives, Who Dies? Where Does Dan Slott Leave Red Goblin, Goblin Childe, Doctor Octopus, Aunt May, MJ, Flash Thompson and More?

ASM #800 opens with a creator credits and storyline catch-up page (above) and we see the aftermath of Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends battle with the Red Goblin (below) with Miles Morales Spider-Man, Silk, Flash Thompson Anti-Venom and more.

Since Peter Parker has donned is Spider-Man costume, the Red Goblin makes good on his word and begins to attack his loved ones. Norman Osborn starts with Mary Jane Watson (MJ) who is protected by the Eddie Brock Venom.

Baby Red Goblin, a turned grandson Normie Osborn, attacks Aunt May Parker, but she’s protected by Doctor Octopus, in a cloned body of Peter Parker, and Baby Red Goblin dubs himself…

…the Goblin Childe!

Venom and MJ fended off the Red Goblin, and they both suggest that Peter Parker needs the Venom symbiote to even the odds since the Red Goblin is the Green Goblin with the Carnage symbiote.

Peter Parker grudgingly accepts the Venom symbiote.

J. Jonah Jameson controlling the Spider-slayer helps Doc Ock to protect Aunt May, but the Red Goblin joins Goblin Childe to fell the heroes, but…

…Aunt May won’t bend or cower.

A black costume / Venom’d Spider-Man joins the fray, but Doctor Octopus was the difference maker in fending of the Red Goblin and Jr. He’s been maimed by the sentient Red Goblin darts. This selfless act has given Doc Ock a clean slate with Spider-Man. He’s a hero now.

Norman and Normie attack their son and father Harry Osborn and his wife, Normie’s mom. This forces Harry into action…

…causing the Red Goblin to attempt to kill Normie’s mom a la Gwen Stacy…

…she’s saved by Spider-man…

…leading to Goblin Childe turning in grandpa while…

…Harry Osborn attempts to subdue the Red Goblin with a goblin glider to the chest evoking a classic Spidey moment a la the earlier Gwen Stacy nod.

The Red Goblin has darted so many, but can’t feel them and we realize that Flash Thompson the Anti-Venom has collected the darts and healed the victims.

However, in battle with the Red Goblin and through his efforts, an injured Flash Thompson dies from his injuries; a hero falls.

The Red Goblin then decides that he had it all wrong. He shouldn’t have just attacked Spider-Man’s loved ones, but everyone!

The Red Goblin has the upperhand, but Spider-Man speaks to Osborn’s ego. This isn’t Osborn’s victory, but Cletus Kasady the host for the Carnage symbiote.

Spider-Man sheds the Venom symbiote…

…leading the Red Goblin shedding the Carnage symbiote and reverting to the Greed Goblin who…

…is soundly defeated shortly after.

J. Jonah Jameson wants to kill Normon Osborn and pulls the trigger…

…Peter Parker saves Norman Osborn because…

…with great power comes great responsibility.

The book begins to end with Normon Osborn in Ravencroft having lost his mind. He thinks Spider-Man is Norman Osborn and that he is Cletus Kasady!

Harry Osborn plans to reclaim and restore the Osborn name and while he thinks the procedure he just witnessed exercised the Carnage symbiote from Normie Osborn, this may not be the end for the Goblin Childe.

There is a funeral for Flash Thompson where Betty Brant and Peter Parker speak fondly of ole Flash.

Then, JJJ and Peter Parker hear sirens and JJJ encourages Parker to go and be the hero NYC needs in typical JJJ fashion.

Spider-Man, injured still, off to the rescue!

There is an after credits scene as well, that I will move up, that show Doctor Octopus landing on…

…a new path at Horizon University on the west coast

We get a nice page with many of the ASM #800 variant covers and…

…Dan Slott’s final issue of ASM is teased…

…Amazing Spider-Man #801.
