AMC’s The Terror is a classy British production that can appeal to both fans of sophisticated drama like Downton Abby and nightmarish horror below freezing like John Carpenter’s The Thing. The show because an instant must watch as a British naval crew looking for the Northwest Passage becomes stuck in the ice. The crew screws up really quick when it encounters the locals on the icy world. Not only do they upset the natives, they really rile up a supernatural creature that is picking them off during the long nights as their supplies dwindle.
