Oliver Stone’s Platoon lands in Steelbook on Sept 18

Platoon was a career making film for so much of the talent involved including director Oliver Stone who went from guy behind the jokey horror film The Hand to a serious Oscar winning director. It proved to be Charlie Sheen’s finest two hours. Tom Berenger and Willem Dafoe became bigger stars as the most influential men in Sheen’s tour of duty in Vietnam. Naturally it is a film that deserves the nobility of a Steelbook to protect the Blu-ray inside. Shout! Factory is releasing the film and numerous bonus features on September 18.
