Hello.

It’s time for me to check back in with my bi-weekly (“Ha haaa! Bi!”) column here at Pulse Wrestling and with a WWE Pay Per View having just taken place last night, I suppose I should hit on that a little.

Matt Hardy still ECW Champion? Good. Check.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley still putting himself over? Check.

Undertaker being injured again? Check.

Rey Mysterio in danger of losing mask? Che…whoa, hold on. What?

I feel like my intelligence is being insulted here. Granted, with Mysterio that’s been the deal since his WWE debut several years back. Having already been unmasked in WCW, leading him to voluntarily unmask in Mexico immediately after, he’s in danger of losing his mask again? There’s something to be said of continuity here. Then again, this storyline does involve Jerry Lawler’s former dentist so I guess I should know better.

Meanwhile, Chris Jericho valiantly fought off the villainous and self righteous Shawn Michaels in a Ladder Match to retain the WCW (World) Championship. Good for him, I say. Now Chris gets to deal with Dave Batista, who beat Bradshaw Layfield for top contender status to the Big Gold Belt. Anytime Batista’s involved, it’s usually a given my interest level will be essentially non-existant. From a realistic standpoint, this should be an easy opponent for Jericho. The track record of Jericho is holding off a charging Bill Goldberg by keeping him in a front face lock while other wrestlers looked on backstage. For Batista, it’s losing a fight to Booker T while in the middle of a commercial shoot. Then again, maybe those two incidents didn’t happen, either…like Rey already being unmasked and Isaac Yankem.

Now for something different.

Dr. Shawn Stasiak has a radio show online now. I mention this, because he’s a MySpace buddy of mine and he was fun to talk with last year. BlogTalkRadio is where it emanates from every Wednesday Night so give him a listen and tell him Kace at Pulse Wrestling sent ya.

Today’s song to check out and enjoy is, “The Gift (Just Take It Back)” by the Fifth off of their new Confessions Of Man CD.

And while you’re enjoying that…

FEEDBACK FEEDBACK

Matthew Michaels – ‘Bout anything’s more interesting than the League Of Superheroes thing. I like Shark Boy and his perversion of Stone Cold. I like Curry Man…

…Speaking of which, didn’t Mike Tenay already reveal Christopher Daniels to be Curry Man in an early episode of TNA back in 2002 or 2003? Anyway…

…Can’t really say I care for the superhero thing, though. I thought the Midnight Rider thing was kinda funny as a child, but hey I was a child and it was almost like a running gag to piss off the heel wrestlers. But with Super Eric, it’s just a bad split personality thing that only a guy like Mick Foley can pull off.

Some dude – Sarcasm duly noted. Actually, that particular take on Sting came to fruition for me back when TNA did a Pay Per View show in St. Louis. Friend of mine, AJ The Bomb (not sure if he still uses that name nowadays) was a huge Sting fan. Then he met him at that meet-and-greet thing before the show and Sting’s dismissive attitude towards him was something of a downer. I think AJ pretty much stopped wrestling after that and is now doing some crash-TV comedy stuff and getting an upstart rock band thing going. One thing he isn’t doing though is cheering for Sting. You’d probably be better off finding AJ himself though and getting his perspective as he tells the story a lot better than I.

Pulse Glazer – Indeed. Now when’s ROH coming to North Carolina?

Norine – Hello! Nice Harley Race article, by the way.

Happy Monday!
