I long for the days of old when the Survivor Series followed along with the theme of the entire show and was simply about surviving. One may argue that it's still all about surviving no matter what type of match the wrestlers are in because they want to come out as the winner; the survivor. Nope, sorry, don't agree with that at all. If that is the point you're arguing then the WWE might as well call every single Pay Per View (PPV) the Survivor Series because that's what you're implying. Sorry people but I like the old school elimination matches that end up with members of a team or an entire team standing tall, lasting strong...surviving. »»
Viva La Raza really does tell the legacy of Eddie Guerrero and how much he meant to everyone in the world of wrestling and still to this day. My one complaint is that so much stuff needed to be left out thanks to the awful mistakes one man made in his life, but that doesn't mean there still isn't plenty of good Eddie footage to last all our lifetimes. Make sure you grab this collection now if you are a wrestling fan, and maybe even if you're not. »»
Everyone in the world wants to have their voices heard and their opinions known, and having them mean something on a worldwide stage makes them even better. Each and every year the WWE wants to put control in the hands of the WWE Universe (the fans) and let it be known that they have control. The annual PPV entitled Cyber Sunday does just that and lets fans see the types of matches and the match-ups they want to see. Whether it's a ladder match or a cage match. Whether it is a three way dance or a tag team gauntlet. Whether it is a hated rival or a fan-favorite. All choices are in the hands of the fans and what they say...goes. »»
All good things must come to an end and that includes wrestling feuds that have been going hot between wrestlers that want nothing but to destroy their enemies. The fans surely enjoy the back and forth promos along with all of the matches that come with the hatred, but sometimes things just need to find a stopping point. Something has to be proven and someone has to give in order for there to be a final decision. And it is when everything is laid out on the table; when all the stops are broken out; when all boundaries are crossed; when there's only one thing to do...show No Mercy. »»
The WWE has a great way of coming up with new and innovative gimmicks that test the waters as far as what could be considered a wrestling match any more. We've seen ladder matches, TLC matches, hell in the cell, the elimination chamber, hardcore matches, and a number of other types of gimmicks that force the wrestlers to bring their A-games when fighting off their opponents. Unforgiven 2008 brought about a new type of match that didn't see the danger level raised at all or tons of weapons thrown in to make it a free-for-all street fight. The "Scramble Match" would simply give even chances to everyone involved to walk out a champion. »»
