Quick Synopsis: The “Dominant Species†group is revealed to be werewolves and quickly make short work of Archangel, Northstar, Wolverine, and Husk, and force Northstar to retreat in order to get reinforcements (in the form of Juggernaut and Iceman). Meanwhile Polaris makes her return to Uncanny X-Men just as Nurse Annie’s son goes catatonic after a failed attempt to wake the comatose Havok.

· I’m a werewolf BABY!!!: The Dominant Species is revealed and rather than having them be yet another Neo group of Uber-mutants, they are revealed to be nothing more than a group of werewolves. A cool twist, though Austen proceeds to treat the members of the group as interchangeable monsters who lack any real personality whatsoever.
· Fight, Fight, Fight, Fight!: Polaris makes her grand return and gets into a fight with Nurse Annie who’s been lusting after Polaris’s man Havok these last couple of months. With Austen revealing his plans to cap off his first year on Uncanny with a wedding, the arrival of Ms. Lorna Dane seems to narrow the field down towards which X-Men will go down the aisle in Uncanny X-Men #425.
