After getting dumped by Francine yet again, Katchoo gets the talk that nearly all SiP fans have been wanting to see as Casey tells Katchoo that she needs to stop with the never-ending “I Love Francine! No, I Love David! No, David’s a Guy and my ex-girlfriend’s brother and I Love Francine!” merry-go-round and move in with her while she gets her life sorted out.

Meanwhile the book’s current FBI text story subplot finally ends up bearing fruit as we learn that the FBI wants to bring Katchoo into police custody so that they can make her give up the whereabouts of the remaining Parker Girls who survived the fall of Darcy Parker for some unknown purpose.

Terry Moore is doing a great job with Casey, who’s gone from being a one-dimensional bimbo to a fully developed Greek Chorus-type character who tells the truth about things and her budding relationship with Katchoo is a welcome change of pace when compared to the usual David/Katchoo and Francine/Katchoo pairings.

The only problem facing the book now is whether or not Terry Moore is willing to deviate from the standard formula and move the book into a new direction of Katchoo and Casey instead of Katchoo/Francine/David. The former is something fresh and new that can re-energize the series while the later is something that is so tired and clichéd that it isn’t even funny anymore.
