In this issue we get to see some serious Lono action. First and foremost Lono gets a cell to himself, that’s all I gotta say. Then we get a shower scene with Lono, and trust me when I say that it is worse than you think and very graphic. In the end it looks like Loop makes a deal with a devil.

As usual Azzarello does a fine job of crafting a tale. I didn’t notice any major clues or hints of things to come, nor were any pieces of the big picture revealed. I did notice how Loop’s account of what previously went down between him and Lono was definitely told from his perspective. Kudos goes to Azzarello for keeping his character consistent. In my opinion Loop views Lono as a threat when he has no reason to.

Risso is always perfect. His depiction of Lono behind bars is downright frightening. And the actual lockdown looks amazing. That previously mentioned shower scene is graphic violence at its best. Mulvihill is perhaps the most underrated member of this book. She sets the perfect mood month after month. What would this book be without a Dave Johnson cover? Dave produces another work of art.

I love this book. I have never been let down. Sometimes confused, but never let down. Anyone remotely interested in this title should pick up the first two trades, and then begin collecting the book.
