Stormwatch: Team Achilles #11

As the Stormwatch Team prepares to celebrate the wedding of two of their own, the team is called away on the morning of the wedding for a mission organized by their arch-nemesis Ivana Baiul. Apparently the Federal Reserve Bank of New York has been stormed by armed bank-robbers and they have occupied the building and are holding a group of visiting school kids, one of which is the child of the President of the United States.

Needing help, Ben Santini calls in an old Stormwatch character Flint to help the team deal with the robbers but the retrieval goes horribly, horribly wrong. By the end of the issue, Stormwatch Team Achilles member Blake Coleman is killed with his head stolen by an unknown assailant and Luis Cisco is mortally wounded. And the President’s Daughter is found, totally spaced out and with a message given to her to recite to her rescuers:

“We are the last generation to speak to you through dialogue. Now the younger generation awakes and prepares its fist”

Stormwatch: Team Achilles #12

As Santini and Flint visit Blake Coleman’s ex-wife and inform her of her former husband’s death, Santini reflects on the horrors that Blake and Ben endured during the much referenced but never shown “Project Entry” Incident that resulted in the destruction of the Black Razor Squad and Ben’s hatred for the sinister Ivana Baiul. Flint asks for details, which leads us to finally learning the horrific secrets of Project Entry.

The Black Razor squad try out their newly developed teleportation system called “Project Entry” which involves crossing over to alternate universes in order to teleport to another location. The earth that is chosen to serve as the ”nexus point” for this teleporter is a world where George W. Bush won the 2000 Presidential Election as opposed to having been selected as President by the Supreme Court. Unfortunately, Ivana Baiul has a rogue scientist make a slight alteration to the coordinates sending the Black Razors to an alternate world where Bush won the Presidency legitimately but where the entire population of New York City has been cruelly slaughtered and dismembered in gruesome fashion by a rouge super-powered being in a sequence similar to the now legendary Miracleman #15 (where the homicidal Kid Miracleman wiped out the population of London in gruesome and grotesque fashions). And when they meet the man responsible for the carnage, several Black Razors end up dead as their killer vows to use the team as a means to escape his version of Earth.
