I am not enjoying the Dream Crime arc. After around 24 issues (six issues of Legion World and the first 18 issues of “The Legion”) DNA have finally struck out with the new storyline.

Universo is a lousy villain unless portrayed in a sleazy, political mode where he acts good and proper but secretly plotting world domination behind everyone’s back; having him as a generic evil telepath makes boring and uninteresting as a big bad. Meanwhile what exactly is Universo’s plan? It seems that he’s creating a hive-mind with the Legion under his control, which is a really bad plot for a villain.

On the plus side, we get some good character development with Ferro, Sensor, and Shikari as they gather together to try and free their friends from Universo’s grasp. But not even this can save this crappy issue from the idiotic nature of this storyline’s plot.
