Relative newcomer Mike Bucci (known as “Nova”) continued his fitness gimmick on Saturday at a WWE houseshow in Trenton. He was announced as “Simon Dean” and it appears this was a joke on former WWE wrestler Dean Malenko (whose real name is Dean Simon). Malenko, now a road agent with World Wrestling Entertainment, was also at the show when he appeared after the Chris Benoit/Randy Orton warm-up match for Summerslam.
No word on whether Bucci will continue to use the name and gimmick.
