WWE.com issued a brief statement yesterday confirming that they had released Sable. While most believe it was because of comments Sable made in a recent interview about how poorly women are treated in the wrestling business, this may have nothing to do with it.
Many believe it was her continued relationship with Brock Lesnar that led to her release. The two have been together since shortly after Sable returned to the WWE. Lesnar has made a series of negative statements about the WWE and there are lingering ill feelings over the way he left the company high and dry to join the Vikings in the NFL.
Some people feel that getting rid of Sable was really meant as a shot at Lesnar.
