Sable (Rena Mero), according to sources from within WWE reached a mutual agreement to leave WWE after expressing a desire to travel less often. WWE management made it clear they could not adjust their schedule for her, so she asked for and received a release. She had been frequently taking time off since her return She wanted to spend more time with her fiance Brock Lesnar and her teenage daughter. It is confirmed that the pair are engaged. This is interesting because the travelling is also what Brock complained about before he left to join the Vikings.
The newspaper article during which Mero commented on the poor manner in which women are treated in the WWE had nothing to do with her release. It is believed she would have been released regardless (which is probably why she was so honest in it).
