In a recent story in USA Today, Jim Ross mentions his interest in Egyptian Greco-Roman wrestling gold medalist (212 lb. class) Karam Ibrahim. Ibrahim’s gold was the first Olympic medal in wrestling for Egypt since 1960.

Says Ross: “He’s the real deal… We’ve had an ongoing positive dialogue with him. He’s a world-class athlete, and we look forward to furthering our discussions once his Olympic obligations are completed. We are actively recruiting great athletes like Karam and expect to contact numerous Olympic athletes after the games.”

Says Ibrahim: “I visited my brother in New York, who got me a ticket to one of the professional wrestling matches in the United States … However, I still haven’t made up my mind.”
