MSNBC.com reported that the Minnesota Vikings will sign former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar to their practice squad. The website reads:
“Vikings coach Mike Tice said former WWE wrestling star Brock Lesnar, released by the club Monday, probably will be re-signed to the practice squad this season. ‘I can’t promise that he’ll be back before Dallas (Sept. 12),’ Tice said, “but I think at some point this season you’ll see Brock Lesnar back as a Viking. Tice added that the 6-foot-3, 290-pound Lesnar could become ‘a real good inside, nickel pass-rusher.’ The Vikings plan to allocate him to NFL Europe next summer.”
It has been said by both Lesnar and his agent that he would rather take a deal with the Minnesota Vikings practice squad rather than go to the Canadian Football League (CFL), where he was being courted by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. There are also rumblings about Lesnar possibly going to Europe to play.
