In what is no doubt the biggest upset of the early weeks of the college football season, 17th ranked Missouri, picked by many to win the Big XII North, was defeted 24-14 by the Troy Trojans.
Formerly known as Troy State, the newly renamed “Troy” has only been a part of Division I-A football for what is now their 3rd season. It is their first win against a ranked opponent, and the only other team from a major conference they have defeated was Mississippi State out of the SEC last season.
