Dr. Death Steve Williams underwent a laryngectomy (removal of the voice box) for throat cancer earlier this week in Texas. The surgery went well and he is on the road to recovery. While he is still hospitalized and in pain, Steve is in good spirits. Dr. Death appreciates all of the support and e-mails that the fans have sent along and wishes to send his thanks.

– This week’s edition of Smackdown did a 3.4 overnight broadcast rating, with a 5 share. Final ratings of the show – which was preempted in Philadelphia and Harrisburg, PA – was a 2.6 , with a 4 share, slightly up from last week’s 2.5. Football from 8 to 10pm did a 9.0 on ABC, with NBC’s Joey and The Apprentice getting a 12.1 and CBS programming a 9.3. – WWE.com has opened up NoMercy.WWE.com.

– Reports coming out of a jam-packed John Cena/Dawn Marie autograph-signing at Sunrise Mall in Massapequa, NY (Long Island), is that Cena’s CD is being released January 25, 2005.
