The reformed Fearsome Five went to run some errands for Dr. Sivana. But then he tried to say he was the boss and killed Gizmo. The Fearsome Four then struck out to steal some nuclear missiles from LexCorp.

The issue begins with the Fearsome Four debating what country the want to attack with their nuclear weapons. Then we go the Outsiders in their new plane who are en route to thwart the villains. Then it’s back to the villains who have decided to nuke Vancouver.

Back in the plane the Outsiders realize that in order to save Vancouver they have pull a maneuver that will cause power outages in 11 cities, thus probably increasing crime. But they decide to go through with it anyway. Thus a force field is erected over the launch site.

The Outsiders get to the site and begin a brawl. Arsenal battles Jinx, Shift fights with Shimmer, Grace brawls with Mammoth, and Nightwing, um, tussles with Psimon. Everything goes in the Outsiders favor until Nightwing touches Psimon, thus negating the neural shield that Nightwing had. Psimon sends Jinx to distract Indigo from her force field duty long enough for them to launch a missile.

Shift saves the day though. But the Outsiders only managed to put Mammoth back behind bars, the other three members of the Fearsome Four are still at large. As for Sivana’s plan, it succeeded.

The reveal of the scheme was a huge disappointment. At least it is right now. I’m sure Winick will return Sivana and show us what else is going on. At least he better do that. I’m still kind of irked that it’s well past a year and we still don’t know anything about Indigo. Why is she here? And what’s up with Nightwing’s sloppy work this issue? Again I have faith that Winick will follow up on this. At least he’d better.

Raney is making my eyes very happy. This book looks great. The art is amazing. The colors are fantastic. I don’t know what’s being done differently, but it is working marvelously. I love looking at this art.
