The Amazing Race 6 Pushed Back Slightly

The Amazing Race 6, which was scheduled to begin on October 2nd, just days after the fifth season’s finale, has been moved back slightly. CBS will now premiere the next installment either in late October or early November, reports Variety.

This isn’t the first time CBS has delayed the “Race.” Season six was slated to premiere Sept. 25. The network pushed that to October 2nd a few weeks ago.

CBS senior executive VP Kelly Kahl said waiting a few weeks made sense. “We’ve seen (evidence) that it really helps to put a little space between one version and the next,” he said. “We want to let the audience breathe a little before we bring the show back.”

Season six will air on Saturday nights.
