Smackdown Notes: Heidenreich Push, Backstage Attitude, Lagana/Heyman, Tough Enough

Archive

Despite the universal negative reaction to John Heidenreich’s push, wrestlers say he is one of the nicest guys in the Smackdown locker room. He especially is nice to the veterans in the locker room and this has made him one of Vince McMahon’s favorites. Although there are many who are cheering him on backstage, no one really believes he will be one of the company’s top heels.

Head Smackdown writer Dave Lagana is said to be totally open to the idea of working with Paul Heyman again. He felt he was overworked even before Prichard took his leave, in part because Prichard had become so irresponsible in the weeks before he took his sabbatical. Lagana simply could not rely on him. Lagana was a regular at ECW Arena shows. Although he has butted heads with Heyman in the past, he seems open to the idea of working with him again.

Some current wrestlers are already grumbling about the $1 million contract prize being given out to the Tough Enough 4 winner.
