Latest News On Tough Enough: Trainer(s), Backstage Heat, More

It sounds as if Al Snow will be the only trainer for Tough Enough 4. While Lance Storm was considered, he is occupied with his work in OVW. Bill Demott was another possibility since he isn’t active as a wrestler anymore, but WWE officials have decided that since the show is not 30 minutes long, only one trainer is necessary. While there may be guest trainers in the future, officials also believe that it is not worth pulling anyone off the active roster for this. The training and tapings begin in late October at Traxx in Connecticut

There continues to be talk of WWE expanding its developmental system to include a training center in Atlanta, Ga. Jody Hamilton’s name is being bandied about as possibly leading up this venture. The goal would be to run shows regularly. THe plan is to work actual shows with live crowds to help get the younger wrestlers feet wet. It could be a “starting point” training territory like OVW or it could be a “second stage” training territory where OVW wrestlers would “graduate to” for further training and a new type of in-ring experience before heading over to WWE and the big stage.
