[Tech] U.S. Ringtone Sales Double to $300 Million in 2004

U.S. sales for ringtones will hit $300 million, according to a report from mobile market analysis firm Consect. This $300 million mark is double 2003’s $150 million, showing that the U.S. is one of the fastest-growing markets for ringtones, which worldwide is a $4 billion market.

This number even exceeds that of digital music downloads, according to Consect.

Western Europe ($1.5 billion) and Korea ($500 million) lead the industry.
