Olsens May Sue Over 'Save Mary-Kate' T-Shirt

Archive

Millionaire twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are discovering that part of being an adult is learning to sue.

The sisters’ Dualstar Entertainment company is threatening legal action against a company selling “Save Mary-Kate” t-shirts. The plea refers to the starlet’s public battle with an eating disorder this past summer, when she spent several weeks at a Utah rehab clinic and was released five pounds heavier in July.

The t-shirt depicts a sketch of Mary-Kate based on a popular media photo that shows her thin frame from the back. The shirts — which went on sale after the eating disorder was made public — were offered for $20 in white or light blue.

More information about the situation can be found here.
