Britney Spears has announced via her official webstie that she will remain on an indefinite hiatus, which began earlier this year after injuring her knee.
“I know now that my knee gave out on me this past summer so that I would have no choice but to stop,” she wrote in a letter to fans posted at her website. “My body was shutting down and needed rest.”
Spears also included a plug for her latest single, a cover of Bobby Brown’s “My Prerogative” by saying.
My prerogative right now is to just chill and let all of the other overexposed blondes on the cover of Us Weekly be your entertainment,” she wrote. “Good luck, girls!”
Among Spears hiatus plans include taking her honeymoon with husband Keven Federline. Spears has also been quoted as saying that she would like to change her name legally to Britney Federline, but knows that the public would probably not recognize or allow it.
