New Kids On The Blech: South Park Review

Archive

Yay!!! New South Park. After a long hiatus due to the making of the outstanding “Team America: World Police”, Trey and Matt are back with all new episodes. I’m basically going to use the same format I’ll be using for my “Simpsons” reviews with some slight changes but in either case this won’t be a recap. Want to know every little detail, watch the show. This can basically be used to tell you if it’s worth it in the first place. I’m ready, your ready, let’s get cracking.

South Park, Wednsedays at 10:00 P.M. on VH-1

“Douche and Turd”

The gist of it- While the South Park cheerleaders are doing their thing PETA breaks into the auditorium and covers them in blood because the school mascot is a cow. The school decides the change the mascot and allow the students to vote on a new one. Kyle tells everyone to write in a giant douche as the candidate, while Cartman tells everyone to write in a turd sandwich. Sure enough the giant douche and turd sandwich get more votes than any of the other nominees, and the students have to choose between the two. Stan doesn’t want to vote for either, and despite being coerced by his parents and P. Diddy, he still refuses, thus being banished from the town.

Favorite Moments- P. Diddy’s rap, Stan’s ending monologue, the voting song, the debate, Mr. Garrison’s thoughts on PETA.

What flat out sucked- Some of the PETA compound stuff was creepy and unfunny.

Personal Thoughts- I loved this episode. Loved it, loved it, loved it. South Park is back and it’s well worth your time. This episode was relevant, cynical, and crass. Catch the replay this weekend, you won’t be dissapointed.
