In the concluding chapter of the miniseries, Majestic battles the Daemonite Scout-Drone that crossed over into this reality with him, from the Wildstorm Universe. As they fight Majestic is haunted by his decision made years ago. Fortunately the Eradicator arrives to alert Majestic to the gravity of the situation.

Apparently the time the Scout-Drone spent in the Bleed (the membrane between realities, universes and dimensions, kind of like Hypertime) has given it a reality warping effect. The longer it stays in this reality, the more catastrophic the results.

Eventually Majestic is faced with a decision. He has the opportunity to leave the DCU and try to find his way home, which would kill everyone within five square miles, including Eli and Ellen, or he can push the drone through the opening, sealing the warp, but saving lives.

Despite his training Majestic chooses the latter, and even saves the Eradicator in the process. Stuck in this reality Majestic tries to cope, but a week later the Eradicator arrives, with Superman in tow with a plan to help Majestic get home. To be continued.

The story is a good one. I’m not familiar with Majestic, but DnA do a fine job of bringing me up to speed, and filling me in on some aspects of his universe. I would have liked to see Majestic interact with more of the DCU during his time here, so the mini was a let down in that regard, but the story it tells is a solid one.

Kerschl, draws the best Eradicator I’ve seen in years. The action is well paced and portrayed, but Eradicator blows me away. I’m saddened to find that he’s not doing the art on the upcoming Majestic monthly, but his work here has been nothing less than great. The flashbacks really stand out for the differences between the two universes, and he accentuates.
