The first teaser for the much anticipated adaptation of The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy is online at Yahoo Movies, with a score of conceptual images.
No actual footage from the film is shown, but instead a CG sequence displaying the films logo and tagline. It also confirms the targeted release fate of May 2006.
As for the drawings, they reveal the look of the starship ‘Heart Of Gold’, which fans of the novel know is equipped with the Infinite Probability Drive, and the little robot known as ‘Marvin The Paranoid Android’.
First-time director Garth Jennings himself re-tooled late author Douglas Adams’ own proposed first draft. The movie stars ‘The Office’s Martin Freeman as unwilling traveller Arthur Dent, alongside Mos Def, Zooey Deschanel, Sam Rockwell and Bill Nighy.
