InsidePulse’s WWE Afterburn Report

Archive

It’s November 27, 2004 and we’re on the air with WWE Afterburn!

Last week: John Cena wins the US title, but gets injured as a result.

Our host today is Josh Matthews. Armageddon is coming!

JIP, Rene Dupree vs Rey Mysterio. Chinlock on Rey. That is one big black eye. In my opinion, they should NOT fire Hardcore Holly, for Rene Dupree’s sake. If they do, Dupree would look like such a pussy in the locker room. In this case, Dupree has two choices: fight back or take a beating like a man. This isn’t school, it’s wrestling. Back to the match: Rey gets out of it, but gets a belly to belly by Rene for a 2. Dupree to the top, but misses the legdrop. Rey with a dropkick, punches and a bulldog for a 2. Now, Rene is in position for the 619, no, Rey thrown to the outside. Dupree gets thrown in the post. Back in the ring, Thesz Press for a 2. Rey goes for the headscissors, but Rene puts him down. Bodyslam attempt, no, in the position for the 619 -> Bang! Rey drops the dime for the cover, the count and the victory!

Coming UP: Kurt Angle challenges someone

We’re back with Josh talking about Cena’s victory last week. Cena’s kidney is re-injured.

Carlito Cool and Jesus are here to talk to Cena. It is his fault because Cena attacked Carlito first. He got exactly what he deserved. They still got the chain. Can’t he just buy another one? Carlito gives the chain to Jesus. Michael Cole asks Jesus isn’t it ironic that Jesus hit Cena in his kidney. Jesus says that Cena would have the same thing. If Cena comes back, Jesus wants a fight. Jesus says “payback is a bleep” and then Carlito spits his apple at the poor defenceless camera.

Coming up: Eddy Guerrero and Booker T have a talk
Up Next: Kenzo Suzuki vs RVD

Kenzo’s woman goes in the ring, tells RVD not to do anything and throws a sash to Kenzo. Kenzo chokes RVD with it and gets DQ’ed. Torrie Wilson goes in the ring (why?) and says RVD wins by DQ. The wife slaps Torrie. Catfight! Kenzo pulls Torrie off. Kenzo does his Rick Rude impression and RVD gets him out of the ring.

Josh Matthews now wants to talk about Heidenrich. He’s mean.

Matthews talks with Paul Heyman. What’s the deal with Heidenrich? He is medicated and on 24 hour supervision. Heidenrich is a sensitive guy. We should make a prayer for Heidenrich. Amen.

Kurt Angle is in the ring. The Kurt Angle invitation is still on. If someone pins him or makes him submit, the medals with be given to that person. We get to see the medals. Someone comes out and looks like Edge. His name is Cody Steal. Cheap Pop when asked where he is from. Angle will do Cody a favour. He’ll go on all fours and let Cody do whatever.

Cody vs Kurt Angle. I’ll just call him EJ. Angle gets up and throws EJ down. Angle with slaps and a kick. A “Cody” chant erupts. I’m still calling him EJ. Angle tells EJ to go on all fours. Tazz says “now Angle will ride Cody”. Yikes. Angle with a stiff kick to EJ. Puches and then, an Angle Slam. Ankle lock and it’s over. Replay of the match. EJ is bleeding. Angle should be FIRED!

Eddy with the 3 amigos to JBL. Jordan knocks Eddy down, then Booker gives OJ a spinkick. Whip into a spinebuster. Eddy has JBL in a corner, while Booker has OJ in another. JBL with a powerbomb on Eddy and big boot to Booker. Clothesline from hell coming up, no, Eddy ducks and kicks, then Booker gives JBL the scissors kick. OJ throws Booker to the outside. Booker and OJ are fighting outside. A fan in a Rey mask punches Booker. It’s Danny Basham. Eddy goes to the top, but Doug Basham hits him and JBL pins Eddy for the 3 count. The lights go out and UT’s music plays. When the lights go on, OJ is chokeslammed by Undertaker. Big boot to JBL. Tombstone!
