Lots of news from around the net today in regards to the upcoming film Batman Begins.

First, Movie City Geek (moviecitygeek.com) reports that the new trailer for Batman Begins will debut this week before either Blade: Trinity on Wednesday or Ocean’s Twelve, a Warner Brothers release out this Friday. The British Board of Film Classification says it will run 1 minute, 15 seconds in length.

Next up, Soundtrack.net points out that the new Batman trailer “will feature original music by (James Newton Howard, who co-composes with Hans Zimmer), written specifically for the spot. We imagine this will give fans a glimpse of what the score might be like.”

Latino Review (latinoreview.com) recently interviewed Morgan Freeman who spoke with the site about his role as Lucius Fox in Batman Begins. The Oscar-nominee says Fox is “part of the design team for Wayne industries. All those great combat toys he has, that’s who he is.”

As for sequels, Freeman says “I haven’t signed anything, no. If it survives, big question, and they decide to do Batman Continues On, [I will].”

A scooper for Ain’t It Cool News (aintitcool.com) claims that “two actors are up for the role of The Joker in Batman Begins Again. Australians Lachy Hulme (Let’s Get Skase) and Bruce Spence (Return of the King: Extended Edition) are rumoured to be stepping into Jack’s boots. It’s clear that they’re going for thin, lanky and spooky.”

Finally,an interview with Batman Begins screenwriter David Goyer can be read here.
