Triple H on Off the Record

Landsberg asked if “Paul Levesque” considers himself a success. Triple H said, “yes, but I don’t see it as a stopping point.”

Triple H considers other avenues such as Hollywood as more opportunities.

Claims what he does isn’t work to him.

Says that Vince McMahon is the hardest working guy he knows.

Triple H stated he understands he won’t always be on top and that everything goes through McMahon, no matter who
you are. He said people on the outside think he uses his power to put
himself on top, but those people don’t see him and what he’s
actually doing.

He looks to the Ric Flair’s past and sees a lot of stuff that did harm to his character, but that he came back because of his ability.

When he started seeing Stephanie, Vince didn’t think it was a good thing. He asked for the Undertaker’s advice and taker told him to do what he wants.

Says that Shawn Michaels is a different person since finding God, even though a lot of people may not believe it. He tells Landsberg that he had a falling out with Michaels for a few years, but Shawn talked with Kevin Nash and then HBK called Hunter and the two of them worked everything out.

Claims to be lucky for getting the chance to meet his hero, Ric Flair.

Says he would fire Flair if he had to, though.

Hunter states that they are trying to make new stars, but it’s not easy. Guys like Batista, Orton and Cena are still relatively new to the business.

Said that Brock Lesnar didn’t screw WWE, he screwed himself. The biggest problem he had with Lesnar leaving was that a lot of guys had sacrificed to put him over and Brock basically crapped all over them.

He still keeps in contact with Shawn Waltman, but no longer has anything to do with Joanie Laurer.

He loved doing Blade; Trinity. Says that Vince wants more of the guys to get into movies. He then goes on to say that movies are the next logical step for professional wrestling.

Isn’t ready to due a biography yet, because he thinks it’s best to do one at the end of your career.

Claims Chris Jericho could be a big star anywhere.

Said that Bob Holly is on his last chance and what he did to Rene Dupree was inexcusable.
