The Overlord's Corner 2.0

Archive

Hello everyone, I’d like to start my first column back with an apology. For those of you who thought you’d seen the last of me…sorry, but you’ll NEVER see the end of me! The Overlord is FOREVER!!!

Ahem

Well as you can plainly see, I’ve decided to bring the Corner back. However, this time around the content of the column will be quite different. I will save some room at the end of the column to talk about things in the industry if there’s anything on my mind, and of course everyone is welcome to send emails, which I’ll publish and respond to just as before.

The main focus of the column though will be two-fold. The first part will be keeping all of you up-to-date with what’s going on with the site and your various favorite staff members (you know like letting you know when certain Co-Editor-In-Chiefs run off to join Wizard…stuff like that). The other part, I’m happy to say is a syndicated version of the comic strip at 144Anima.com. For those of you who already read the strip regularly at the site…well this isn’t really big news for you. But for those of you who have yet to check out The DOL’s offbeat adventures, you’ll now have the chance to do so without even having to leave your favorite comic news site.

I’m hoping you’ll all enjoy the column and the strip. As I said above, everyone’s welcome to email me on anything in the column, or just on the industry in general. So without further ado, lets get this party started:

144 Anima Presents:
Interviews by The Nexus’ very own Mathan Erhardt

The preceding strip marks Mathan’s first venture into writing for 144 Anima, and I think it’s safe to say, he did a great job. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did. If you want to comment on the strip you can do so at the forums at 144Anima.com or at our forums here, and of course you can email any comments you may have.

The Nexus

As you all know, our good friend Ben has left us, and more importantly he left a rather big hole in the editorial department. So, I thought you’d all like to know how that hole had been filled.

I’m sure most of you already know that Tim Stevens has taken over as Mathan’s partner over on Who’s Who In The DCU. Well besides co-writing and editing that column, Tim has also stepped up to take over as a full editor of the site. Tim will be editing and posting all the columns and reviews on Thursday.

Coincidently, Chris Delloiacono has accepted the position of Head of Reviews. Chris has taken over all of my previous responsibilities as far as reviews go (he’s actually slowly been doing this for the past few months…now it’s official). Besides organizing our review rotation and keeping all the monkeys in line, Chris will also be editing and posting all the reviews and column on Monday & Saturday.

As you may or may not have guess, I’ll be handling everything else…
