Norton In “Loser Leaves Europe” Match This Friday!

“Celtic Tiger” Blake Norton makes his 3CW debut with an impact this Friday night in Billingham, England. In the main event, he and Jayson Mayson will team up to take on Ice XVII, the promotion’s franchise player, and a mystery partner. New stipulations just added officially confirm that whoever loses the match this Friday night will be forced to leave Europe. Norton, one of the final graduates from The Dungeon during the Stu Hart era, is intent on making short work of Ice in a bid to become the new top star in 3CW. This bitter turf war will come to a head Friday night, December 10th in Billingham. Further information is available at www.3cw.co.uk

Norton Addresses Wrestling Channel Contract Controversy

Blake Norton, writer & presenter of The Wrestling Channel’s hit news magazine show “The Bagpipe Report,” addresses the speculation which has arisen regarding his future with the channel with the following statement:

“I would like to address a recent story on wrestling news site PWInsider.com which has caused some fans confusion. During correspondence with staff from the network, I indeed noted that my current contract with The Wrestling Channel has ended. I have answered questions for many reporters since I began working with TWC in July, and I want to make it clear that any statements I make right now are done purely as an individual, not as a representative of the channel. “However, while the gentlemen at PWInsider.com did not misquote me in any way, many fans who read the story have come to believe that my contract ended prematurely. This is not the case. My original contract with TWC only ever covered the duration of TBR’s first season. All of us at TWC have had a terrific time working on the show and are already discussing new ideas for a second season next year. “In the meantime, I look forward to the opportunity to focus all of my attention on my in-ring career, beginning this Friday, December 10th, for 3CW in England. The network has treated me with integrity since day one, and I believe they will continue to be a trailblazer in this industry for a long time to come.”
